Holiday Open House

This Saturday, oh wow, tomorrow already, is our Holiday Open House!!

I say our because it's a shared event between myself and Alley Kats, which is exciting because we are such cozy neighbors. The day will kick off at 10 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m., which is our regular Saturday hours. But here are the things that are special about the day...

* About a block north of us at the US Cellular Coliseum is the 7th Annual Bloomington Indoor Farmer's Market. Perfect timing to get all your fresh produce and food for Thanksgiving next Thursday. Use some strategic parking, and go to both!

*Nacho Mama's Grilled Cheese will be here!! Yum! Yum! Yum! They will be all set up and ready to serve from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. AND they will be debuting a new holiday inspired sandwich. I'm not sure what this sandwich is all about, but I know I will be ordering it.

*Thirty Fingers is playing! What is Thirty Fingers? Umm, it's three ladies using all 10 of their fingers to play a single piano. I need to see this!! And so do you. They begin playing at 1 p.m.

*Christmas cookies by Margret! Margret, the co-owner of Alley Kats, is making Christmas cookies to share with everyone. This is topping my list of what I'm excited for...is that sad?...no, it's delicious.

*Make a "Wish List". One of the things I've strived for is to have plenty of nifty-gifty items for everyone on your Christmas List. But without fail, when you're shopping for others, you find stuff that you like too, right? Just fill out one of our "Wish Lists" and send you friends and family back to the store to get you something you'll love.

*Overnight transformation!! I have some Thanksgiving items and very few Christmas items in the store right now; well, overnight that will change! My husband and I are decorating and rearranging and bringing in lots of new items tonight. So even if you've been here recently, come on back, because Retrofit Culture will look a lot different tomorrow!

We hope to see you. And your family. And your friends. Bring everyone you know, okay. It's going to be a fun day.
