Hobnob Summer Market

This past weekend I was a vendor at the Hobnob Market in Danville, Illinois. The weekend started off with a "Fresh Picked Party" for early buying, a band and food. It was a festive evening and was fun to "hobnob" with vendors and customers alike.

Saturday was an absolutely beautiful day with great weather at a beautiful location.

I tried to keep my booth festive with bright colors, summery/sporty items, with a little bit of Americana thrown in.

I had friends to spend the day with, too! Linda, of Morning Glory Collectibles, was there. We've done a few shows together this season already and I visited her at Market on Moss the other weekend. Her booth set-ups never disappoint! For Hobnob, she had bright, cheery colors and rad retro!

Another treat was seeing Carrie and Doug, of Hot House Market. Their style is unmistakable. Everything about their items makes me think "Home". I love the muted color palette they curate with large floral patterns, and funky vibe they send off with great retro items. Love, love, love. (And if you are in or around Lafayette, Indiana make sure to stop by their brick and mortar shop!)

I also got to see my instant friends at Almost Gemini. I've met these two sisters once before and they are both just so warm and funny, you just feel like you've known them for years. They both must have a great eye too, because their booths are always A-MAZ-ING!

I was also happy to have some of my Prairie Vintage Traveling Show pals there. I love doing shows with them, and seeing all the great stuff they have for sale.

In addition to my vendor pals that I love (them and their vintage!), I also spotted some new favorites! I absolutely love the Junkey Monkeys! The salvage and bits and pieces they collect are so whimsical and fun that I looked through their booth for hours (or at least a really long time).

I also found my self drooling over the items at Carter's Garage booth. Retro but updated, playful yet chic. Great, great stuff ladies!

I loved this crewel so much! I eyed it every chance I had! Isn't it a beaut?
And my favorite booth (is it wrong to have a favorite?) was my neighbor, Open Door Studio. Her display of red, white and blue was amazingly curated, though she insisted it was a last minute switch up from her normal vintage color palette--well, let me tell you last minute never looked so good. And I think the Americana was perfect for this country affair.

Hobnob has other markets throughout the year too, so be sure to check in on their Facebook page from time to time for updates.

As for me, my next market is this Sunday (June 16th), at 3rd Sunday Market in Bloomington, Illinois.
