This Kangaroo is a Movie Star!!

So first of all, let's talk a little bit about my love for many of Quentin Tarantino's movies. The Kill Bill movies easily cracks my top 5 favorite movies of all time. And I have absolutely loved Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained, Tarantino's latest two movies. My love of Tarantino's movies probably started with Pulp Fiction. As a teen, I worked at a camp in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and there was a staff lounge where the junior counselors spent a great deal of their off time. Now this was the 1990's so no Smart Phones, I-Pods, WiFi, DVDs; and our staff lounge was stocked with all of about 20 VHS tapes total...for the whole summer. Pulp Fiction was one of them. And it was watched. A lot.

Here's a scene from Pulp Fiction. 1) Warning: There is swearing. And killing. It's a Tarantino movie. 2) Don't blink at minute 2:32.

Did you see it? Did you see the kangaroo? The one he "specifically reminded her - bedside table! On the Kangaroo! I said the words, "Don't forget my father's watch." Yeah? I got it! I found the same kangaroo caddy while out garage sale'ing last Friday with Linda of Morning Glory Collectibles!

Here's some pictures of my find!

Isn't it cool! It's a great wallet and change caddy and from 1956, both these things make it cool all on it's own. But I LOVE that this type of boxing kangaroo was featured in Pulp Fiction too.

  1. I just favorited (that's a real word I think) one of these on Etsy like an hour ago! It's so cute! So I'll admit that I've never seen Pulp Fiction all the way through. I know, I know, I will watch it one day! But I have seen the part with this in it now that I see the clip. So cool!
Glad you found your own little piece of Hollywood.
